Raise your hand if you love Panera Bread as much as I do! We have a Panera that’s within a few miles of our house. It’s one of my favorite places to grab lunch or dinner because they serve yummy food that makes me feel good after I eat it. They serve food as it should be.
If you haven’t already heard, Panera is on a journey to serve clean food. What exactly does “clean food” mean? Clean food does not have artificial colors, sweeteners, flavors and preservatives—Panera Bread understands this and has already started eliminating those elements from their menus and is committed to removing all by the end of 2016! Seriously. How amazing is that?
Panera wants to be an ally for wellness for the millions of guests they serve each week. It’s funny how just about every time I visit Panera, I see people of all kinds but especially those in gym clothes! It’s the perfect food for after a workout!
They’ve removed artificial colors, sweeteners, flavors and preservatives from the cafe salad dressings they serve. I love that because I think their dressings are better than ever now! Clean food just tastes better and makes you feel better after you eat it.
Now that school’s out, I’ve been trying to do fun things with my boys every day. We had some errands to run the other day and then ran to Panera for lunch. Each of my boys picked something different, which is always a plus because I get to try more things, ha!
I got the Mediterranean Chicken & Quinoa Salad for my lunch and let me tell you, it was SO delicious! I’m a huge fan of Mediterranean food and this salad had all the goodies from Greek food that I love, like cucumbers, olives and Greek dressing. But it also had chicken, almonds and quinoa mixed in with kale and romaine. The dressing was light and refreshing. I practically licked my bowl when I was done.
