My name is Amy from The Idea Room and I am so excited to be here as part of the Bake, Craft and Sew series! I just love Leigh Anne and am happy to be here today sharing one of our family’s favorite Holiday Cookies…our Chocolate Dipped Peppermint Sugar Cookies Recipe.
- 2½ cups cake flour, plus more for dusting work surface
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- ¼ cup all vegetable shortening, at room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 large egg white
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp peppermint extract
- Crushed candy canes, for topping
