The beginnings of Fall have arrived.
The cooler mornings that I love, the leaves beginning to change and lots of apples at the Farmer’s Market. I even pulled out the flannel pajamas this week!
I think most of you would agree that Fall and apples can only mean one thing – apple pie. I love a good apple pie. I don’t like making pie crust. That is why I love my Easy Apple Pie recipe so much. There is no pie crust. If you haven’t made this apple pie before you must. Remember, no pie crust!
This week I decided since it wasn’t totally Fall yet and our afternoons were still pretty warm that I would make a different version of apple pie -
- 1½ C whole milk
- 1¼ C sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 1½ C half and half
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 C whipping cream
- 2 large apples, peeled, cored and diced
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 5 cinnamon graham crackers, broken into small pieces
