Columbian Hot Chocolate

A few weeks ago I was watching a show on Columbian cuisine and they showed how to make a special hot chocolate they drink there. I was really surprised since I had never seen it made that way, instead of using milk like most people do, they just use water, but they also use fresh chocolate and a little spice. Since T and I are big hot chocolate drinkers I immediately got up and had to try it out. I thought for sure that chocolate and just water would be horrible, but if an entire country loves it, I had to at least give it a try.

It was actually really good and tasted so pure just like they said. In Columbia they serve bread and cheese with the drink, and they actually drop the cheese in the bottom and let it melt, then scoop it out and eat it with a little spoon, however I didn’t try that, but I would like to one day.
