Carne Asada Recipe

Nothing beats a great Carne Asada Recipe for the summertime grill season! This Carne Asada is made with thinly sliced round tip steak marinated in orange, lime, cilantro and garlic. Perfect for wraps, tacos, burrito bowls or any Mexican food dish you can think of!

I am proud to be partnering with Flatout Flatbreads® to bring you this tasty recipe!

I am cuckoo-CRAZY for Mexican food lately. I mean, I’ve always enjoyed it and luckily living in California great Mexican food is readily available. Buuuut, my love of Mexican food has honestly become a full blown obsession this year!

I can’t go out to eat all the time so I have been perfecting my homemade Mexican dishes. This Carne Asada Recipe has been a regular on my menu.

This carne asada is super easy to make and tastes phenomenal on just about anything! Use it on tacos, sandwiches, burrito bowls or wraps.

Flatout Foldit Artisan Flatbread is perfect with this carne asada. Just fold the uniquely shaped bread to make an awesome flatbread sandwich!

Foldit Flatbreads come in a variety of flavors: Five Grain with Flax, Traditional White, Rosemary & Olive Oil, Everything, Garlic and Ancient Grain. All are good sources of fiber and protein. Ancient Grains has 10g of protein!

When I can get it, I use thinly sliced round tip steak for my carne asada. It isn’t authentic but it doesn’t require as much marinating because it is a more tender cut.

Sliced skirt or flank steak can also be used to make this Carne Asada Recipe. However, I marinate for 4-6 hours when I use those beef cuts.

The marinade is all about that nice fresh citrus flavor. And lots of cilantro. Can I get a whoopwhoop from my fellow cilantro lovers!?!?!

Carne asada can be gilled on the barbecue or stovetop. While I love the smoky flavor that the barbecue adds I prefer to cook mine on the stovetop to get it evenly cooked.

Once grilled, let that meat rest! It truly does make the meat juicier.

Then just slice against the grain and serve.
