Learning, Loving, and Recovery: Life After Mom.

I just wanted to say thank you for all of the support and love from our wonderful followers and friends during this difficult time for me.  Those who have sent cards, messages, flowers, emails, etc. I can’t thank you enough for your kind words, thoughtfulness, and the tremendous amount of love and support you’ve given me.  You’ve helped lift me up, and kept me going… XOXO

I posted the story last fall about my mother fighting germ cell cancer. I had to learn very quickly how to be a full time caregiver, mother, and daughter to someone who was terminally ill and eventually going to leave us. After almost exactly one year of her battle, my mom passed away, in our home, surrounded by family.  While I am healing slowly and starting to learn how to pick up the pieces and move on with my life, I find myself spinning over details, memories, and grief all associated with her passing.
