Roasted Bell Pepper and Basil Pesto Pasta…. My love of Pasta goes back to my childhood. My aunt who stayed abroad got us some packets every year and we used to look forward to creamy or tomato based pasta dishes for special occasions. My son has inherited the same love for Pasta, however now we can make it when we want as it is easily available in the markets. Out of number of Pasta brands available, few have actually made a mark on quality. Personally I like Del Monte brand who have been a leader in quality processed foods for decades. I find Del Monte Italian Gourmet Pasta as one of the best in current market having consistent quality in every packet I’ve used thus far. Their pasta which is 100% vegetarian comes in convenient family pack sizes and resealable packaging. For the novices, there is even a simple recipe at the back. Del Monte has a range of different Pasta’s like Penne, Spaghetti, Lasagna, Rogatoni etc. For this recipe I used Chifferi Rigati, a bent tube shaped pasta with straight cut ends and groves on the sides.
