  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 1-3/4 cups cake flour
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 teaspoons grated lemon peel
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Confectioners sugar for dusting
  • Topping:
  • Mix sugar, lemon peel, lemon juice with food coloring if using, add salt and butter in medium bowl to combine.
