Hi All! Happy Friday! So everyone good week? bad week? Looking outside as I finish off this post the sun is shining, snow is melting and birds are chirping. So it would be hard to say bad week with that type of weather in February! Not to mention T. was home for four whole days. Yay someone to cook for!! After a night out on Saturday, we stayed in Sunday night to watch our favorite British TV
Top Gear (for him) and Mr. Selfridge (for me) and I made for us the fish stew I shared in last weeks Friday Favorites post. All I can say is yum! Make this stew you won’t regret it. With the left over shrimp we adopted meatless Monday and enjoyed Shrimp Fried Rice for dinner. It has actually been meatless around here all week, that’s what happens when I miss my weekly trip to the butcher. Thankfully I did have some pancetta in the fridge and made Spaghetti Carbonara for the first time. Carbonara is one of my favorite pasta dishes, I ate it just about every meal when we were Rome (well dinner, lunch was reserved for potato and rosemary pizza.. ahh the food memories…), so I can’t believe I have never made it before. It is also probably not a good thing that I now know how easy it is to make.
