Hi! Since we’re in the midst of cold-weather season, I thought that I would spend the next few weeks sharing some fun, indoor activities for young children. After all, that’s what we’re doing these days — trying to stay busy and entertained when it’s too frigid to play outside all day.
The boys are happy to play with trains and other vehicles, color with markers, and watch movies for a short time inside. But that only lasts so long. After a while they become restless and bored with the usual toys. Since Casey would gladly spend about 20 hours per day outside, the cold, short days pose a significant challenge for me. When the boys get antsy and I can’t send them out into the yard, I like to have a few new and different ideas to suggest, and those ideas must be fast and easy to prepare. Today’s game of Magnetic Fishing fits the bill, and successfully entertained the kids for a morning inside.
