Today we enjoyed another Arbor Day Activity: Bark Rubbings!
Isn’t it a childhood rite of passage to make bark rubbings at some point? Whether it’s at summer camp, in preschool, or just with your crazy mom in your yard…I’m sure we’ve all done them at some point. My kids are now part of the club!
But we’ll get to that in a minute. First, we spent the morning enjoying some beautiful weather at one of our favorite local spots: Graves Mountain Farm. The farm was bustling with workers driving tractors, gators, and pick-up trucks for a variety of jobs, so my boys were in heaven just watching. They threw some big rocks in the pond, fed some baby goats, watched the new chicks peck around, inspected some tires, and “drove” some tractors. The ideal morning in their opinion!
