Simple Syrup

An easy recipe every home cook should memorize, simple syrup is useful for sweetening drinks and desserts.  

In my opinion, every home cook should know how to make simple syrup. Luckily, it couldn’t be simpler ;)

One part sugar to one part water. Boil until dissolved and let cool. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 months. Done!

I make a big batch at the beginning of June and use it all summer long to sweeten alcoholic drinks, iced teas, and lemonade.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
