I have been really excited about this recipe, probably because I had quite a few failed attempts before I got to enjoy this loaf of spelt bread but it was definitely worth the wait.
It’s hard to describe the flavour of spelt. It does taste different from whole wheat but the flavour isn’t strong or overpowering. I absolutely love it and actually prefer the flavour of it to regular whole wheat bread although the texture isn’t quite as soft and bouncy as my Clean Eating Breadmaker Bread I still think its a winner!
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Easy Bake/Fast Action Yeast
- 500 grams Stoneground Wholegrain Spelt Flour
- 1 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt
- 1 oz Organic Butter 1/2 oz works too
- 340 ml Water
