Biscuits and gravy are probably one of Alan’s favorite meals he enjoys. If we go out to breakfast and the restaurant happens to have it on the menu, then 9.5 times out of 10 he’ll order it. Perhaps it brings back memories from when he lived in South Carolina or he fondly recalls the family gathering for this meal as a young boy. I know he loves it and I rarely make it, so I knew this would be a great birthday breakfast for him!

  • 1 pound turkey sausage
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2½ cups milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 biscuits homemade or purchased
