Fromage Fort Cheese Spread + Caramelized Onions

I love recipes that reuse scraps and clean out the fridge. We are all victims of over shopping and always buying things that we don’t need or won’t consume in its entirety.

Fromage Fort is one of those quick, traditional dishes that can basically take any cheese you have almost molding (not necessarily a bad thing) in the fridge and can transform it into a delicious boozy spread that will remind you of a lighter version of a fondue.

There are a couple of leftover recipes from around the world wide web that’s also worth trying. See below for my recommendations.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of thinly sliced white onions
  • 100 grams of provolone
  • 100 grams of aged parmesan
  • 100 grams port salut
  • 80 grams tome de savoie
  • 50 grams saint nectaire
  • 250 grams of cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup of white wine
  • ½ cup parsley
  • 1 tsp grated garlic
  • 1 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 1 tsp of oyster sauce
