I love experimenting with a variety of grains in my baking, not only in an effort to focus on nutrition but also to keep things interesting.  These oat waffles are one example and they’ve become a favorite in our home.

We all agree that the oats contribute more flavor and a better flavor than the standard wheat waffles.  They also have a terrific texture of crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

And if you happen to be gluten sensitive or intolerant, these oat waffles are naturally gluten-free.  Just make sure to use oat flour that is certified gluten-free.
