Fusilli with Meyer Lemon Cream Sauce Recipe

I spent last week in Florida for my first work trip of the year. And, at the beach no less. Though my toes never touched the sand.

I tried to be realistic with my expectations. A balance between hoping the Sunshine State would do its thing and show us warm, sunny days, and reminding myself that it is still February. But mostly, I just thought about warm days. And sadly that’s also the closest I got to warm days.

Thankfully I packed one sweater, just in case. It became the top I wore every single day of the trip. Our trip was bookended with 70 degree days, though our few days there held steady in the 30′s.


  • 1 pound fusilli pasta
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • Zest of 2 Meyer lemons
  • 1/4 cup fresh Meyer lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • salt & fresh ground pepper
