I was rattling off the list of recipes I needed to complete before heading to Denver this week which included these almond-orange tuiles, chopped liver, noel nut balls and peanut butter fudge. I heard an audible sigh of disappointment from the hubby. Mr. Skinny Chick was going to be tortured with nuts and giblets…poor fella. I reminded him he had eaten and enjoyed liver pate at a tony French restaurant a time or two…but I don’t think that convinced him that the upcoming chopped liver would be a new favorite. It had been years since I’d made tuiles…and, though tasty, I didn’t remember them being particularly attractive. But I was game…at least for a half batch. With no eggs in the batter, it was an easy recipe to divide…whew.
