Spring has Sprung, with Rhubarb Galette

The nice thing about being done with big deadlines just as spring is kicking into gear: it feels like the whole world is coming back to life. After months of dark and wet and hibernation—plant, animal, and human—flowers are up, birds are singing, and people are emerging from their homes to play and picnic and sit in the sun. It’s a great time of year.

Of course, now that the weather is nice, the last place anyone wants to be is in front of a computer—especially me, as that’s where I’ve been for the past seven months. These days I am trying to avoid this spot as much as possible. All I want to do is to be outside and read books and soak up spring.
