We could probably just call 2012 the year of the waffle and leave it at that, but it seems that waffles are the gift that keep on giving.
My cookbook club has taken up the waffle banner and waves it proudly. There’s been a series of waffle brunches over the past year or so, one every two or three months. I couldn’t make it to the first few, but I’ve become a huge fan since then. Because really, hanging out with your girlfriends on a weekend morning is pretty grand on its own. Then you add waffles.
