pOne of my favorite things growing up was wandering through my Grandparents’ backyard, picking apples from the apple tree, and berries from his raspberry bushes. My grandpa has a serious green thumb – it seems everything flourishes and nothing can fail under his care, so I’ve always had prime access to the freshest seasonal produce. Even now on trips home, I still thoroughly enjoy taking a couple of empty pint containers out into their backyard, and maneuvering my way through the prickly branches to get the reddest, juiciest, sweetest berries imaginable.
