Trail mix is a perfect kids snack, no matter what time of year. Just a slight change up with the ingredients however turns common trail mix, into holiday trail mix. Use red, white, and green foods for festive colors.
Some ideas we had were:
Red: dried cranberries, dried strawberries, dried raspberries, dried plums,
Green: Pumpkin seeds, pistachios, dried kiwi,
White: Yogurt covered raisins, coconut, banana chips, dried apples

I haven’t mentioned the health benefits of dried fruit here, but there are many! Dried fruit is great for kids who won’t stop playing long enough to eat something! Dried fruit is a concentrated source of vitamins and fiber. This makes it a convenient choice for hiking and all-day holiday shopping.
