I wanted to write a post about my cookbook experience since so many of my blog followers and newsletter subscribers have been intimately involved with it becoming a reality, from recipe testing to fundraising to getting the word out. I cannot thank you enough, so I will just keep thanking you. Thank you. 😉
I chose to write and self-publish my book because I knew exactly how I wanted it to look and feel and read. I had a vision, and wasn’t overly confident it would be translated if I used a traditional publisher. So I wrote the book in 2015 and 2106, hired an excellent editor and designer, and raised over $68,000 on Kickstarter to fund its production last summer.
