Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse and Museum in Daytona Florida

My family  and I had a wonderful vacation at Daytona Beach Shores in Florida last summer and while we were there we visited Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse and Museum in Daytona Florida . We love to travel to different beaches for a week of relaxation and I always research to look up historical places we can visit and see.

The Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is located at 4931 South Peninsula Drive – Ponce Inlet, FL 32127.  This national historic landmark is the tallest lighthouse in Florida and is the second tallest in the country.  The tallest in the country is Cape Hatteras in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, which we hope to visit soon!  Even if you do not like heights or want to climb the 203 steps to the top, there is so much to see on the ground.  There is also a wonderful gift shop and a restaurant close by.  The lighthouse even offers special evenings where you can go up at nighttime and when special moon sightings will be.  You will have to check the website and be sure to get a ticket before they sell out.  If you are going to be in the Daytona area, be sure to visit Ponce de Leon Lighthouse.
