There is something about mini skewers that are so appealing to kids (and adults). Don't you love food on a stick!? Wouldn't your kids love to open their lunch boxes to find all their favorite foods on a stick!br /br /My toddler isn't big on sandwiches yet, but if I give her all the elements from a sandwich and place them on a stick her face lights up and she happily eats it. In fact while photographing the food for this post, both of my kids stood by and waited for me to finish so they could eat it.br /br /div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BOZzxazWPIs/UCv6xW0JJYI/AAAAAAAAHGo/eBjfNO86fw/s1600/madi.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BOZzxazWPIs/UCv6xW0JJYI/AAAAAAAAHGo/eBjfNO86fw/s1600/madi.jpg" //a/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-luSNRNAyVCw/UCm0RVxFVuI/AAAAAAAAHCA/MsZHIPJiPvA/s1600/madison.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"br //a/divUse the foods they like, cut them into fun shapes and put it on a stick!br /br /For teens skewers would work fine, but for younger kids I would use bcoffee stirrers, /bbpopsicle sticks/b, toothpicks or even bmini straws/b. Here are some ideas that both my toddler and teen loved. I pack an ice pack in the lunch box so the food stays cool.br /br /div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8Ira2U-8MSM/UCun0eXxMrI/AAAAAAAAHDg/qJCfr6qSpTc/s1600/ham-and-cheese-popsicles.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8Ira2U-8MSM/UCun0eXxMrI/AAAAAAAAHDg/qJCfr6qSpTc/s1600/ham-and-cheese-popsicles.jpg" //a/divbr /span style="font-size: large;"bMini Caprese Skewers/b/spanbr /br /div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ybE0GiuIwlE/UCm0RgHohbI/AAAAAAAAHCI/5ZE4mNsjV7k/s1600/mini-caprese-skewers.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ybE0GiuIwlE/UCm0RgHohbI/AAAAAAAAHCI/5ZE4mNsjV7k/s1600/mini-caprese-skewers.jpg" //a/divbr /Grape tomatoes and mini mozzarella balls layered on a stick.
