Tailgating with Beam & Bird Kabobs

Tailgating with Beam & Bird Kabobs

Happy Monday, everyone!  I hope you had  fantastic weekend.  Here, the weather was gorgeous, unseasonably warm, sunny skies, and the smell of Hokie Football was in the air!  It worked out for us that we could take Seven to the game, so of course, he had a great time. (That is, after we bought lemonade and he proceeded to eat the lemons out of it for a good 30 minutes. Other than that, he was a squirmer, bellyacher, and downright aggravating child to be around.  In his defense, he IS three, and it was really hot in the stands.  He was a trooper for the several hours of tailgating though and that’s what really matters!)

  • Last week I got a couple of tweets from Jim Beam, who encouraged me to come up with some tailgating recipes using their products.  It would seem that Beam has a new “Pre-Game Warm Up” Video Contest, and they are also wanting some great recipes to share.  I can do that!  Since Jon is a seasoned tailgater and grillmaster, I knew we could come up with something to fill the bill.  Our first endeavor was right on the money: Grilled Chicken & Peach Kabobs that were slathered in an easy Beam infused Peach Jelly Barbeque Sauce. Yum!  Really easy to put together, quick on the tailgate grill, and downright tasty!! What else could you ask for?
