These biscuits bake evenly golden and are wonderfully crunchy. They will stray crunchy for a week in an airtight container and though they will soften, still fresh for another week.
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup desiccated coconut
- ¾ cup caster sugar
- 4½ oz / 125g butter
- 2 tbsp golden syrup (see notes)
- 1 tsp baking soda (bicarbonate soda)
