Crock Pot Taco Bake is an delicious adaptation of one of our popular oven recipes. Layers of chili cheese fritos, taco meat, cheese sauce, shredded cheese and more fritos bake up into a delicious casserole we love to serve over a bed of lettuce with all our favorite taco toppings!
When Kroger contacted me and asked me to share a recipe with my readers in a sponsored post about their new Board to Table app in iTunes, I was intrigued. Then they explained their new app makes menu planning on Pinterest a whole lot easier, I was totally game.
Board to Table App
Kroger’s new Board to Table App serves as an easy way to connect your favorite Pinterest recipes to your shopping list! Board to Table lets you choose the recipes YOU want to eat this week from YOUR Pinterest boards and then import those ingredients to your shopping list before heading to the store. We love meal planning and the thought that an app could help me make my grocery lists a snap by transferring ingredient lists from recipe to list by the click of a button has my heart a flutter!
Testing the Kroger Board to Table App
To give the app the proper test, I decided to adapted our very popular oven recipe for Taco Bake into a Crock Pot Taco Bake and used the app to make my grocery list.
I found my pin on my Favorite Recipes Board in the Board to Table App, clicked to add the ingredients to my shopping list and just like that all the ingredients transferred right over to my Kroger shopping list app.
A few things I LOVED about the app?
I needed to double the ingredient amounts for my slow cooker adaptation of the recipe and it was as easy as adding the pin’s ingredients and then do it again. Boom. Double ingredients on my list without having to go through and change all the amounts on each item on the list like I would when making a traditional list. Quick, easy way to double a recipe.
I also love that on my grocery list each item lets me know which recipe the ingredient is associated with for quick reference.
As many of you know, I am an Android user. And, like many new apps, Board to Table is out only on iOS for now– however– I found an awesome work around for those of you that have (or your kiddos have) iPods. Since Board to Table connects to both your Pinterest App and your Kroger (grocery list) App, you can use an iPod Touch to pin, generate lists and shop OR you can still use your Android to pin on Pinterest AND to shop in the store with your Kroger app after you push your pins to your list using Board to Table with your iPod. This allows me the convience of shopping with my Andriod phone which I always have on me.
A few notes from Kroger
Board to Table is a new app in customer trial mode. Only a limited number of customers will be able to download it, so act now!
If you have a lot of Pinterest pins, it might take a few minutes for all of them to load.
