Easy Really Healthy Kale Chips

Easy Really Healthy Kale Chips

So I have a bit of an issue with kale chips that you buy at the store! They are yummy, I’ll give them that, but they are also about 2.2 ounces and can cost up to $7.00! The other issue I have is Nutritional Yeast, I love kale chips, but I want eat things that aren’t just kind of good for me, I want them to be truly good for me! Nutritional Yeast has it’s benefits and I do use it in some recipes for special occasions, but lets call it what it is, yeast. Raw chefs often use Nutritional Yeast for a cheesy flavor, but you can get  that same cheesy flavor with shallots and cashews. If you’re on a candida cleanse or just don’t like yeast in your diet like me, this recipe is perfect for you!

  • 1 large bunch of curly kale, stems removed
  • 1 cup dry raw cashews or dry raw sunflower seeds
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeds removed
  • 1/2 of a large shallot, roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup water
