Deep Chocolate Milk
This is one of my favorite treats! I love the aromatic deep chocolate and the comforting vanilla bean. It’s a true treat that I never feel guilty for indulging in.
Raw chocolate is pretty much a complete food. It is filled with more than 300 chemically identifiable compounds, and is higher in antioxidants than green tea, blueberries and wine. It has protein, fats, calcium, iron, carotene, thiamine, riboflavin, and magnesium, which are all needed for the proper functioning of the brain. Cacao contains caffeine, which means that a raw chocolate drink or desert will give you a similar boost to coffee, but typically wont give you the crash and the nervous energy.
Cacao has been used for years by ancient tribes and cultures for healing and medicinal purposes. We have a tendency in our culture to abuse stimulants, but if cacao is used in the right way, it can be very healing. Here is a wonderful interview with the Cacao King David “Avocado” Wolfe
Increased sex drive
Good for the heart, it can lower blood pressure and the flavonoids in it may reduce the risk of cardiovascular mortality.

- 2 cups of sweet vegan almond milk
- 3 tablespoons of raw cacao powder
- 2 vanilla beans, scraped
- 1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon of maca
- 2-3 tablespoons of coconut sugar (dry)
- 1 pinch teaspoon of Celtic or Himalayan salt
