I flew to Seattle yesterday to visit my daughter, son-in-law and four month old granddaughter. It was a cold, gray and rainy day. The perfect weather for soup. My daughter had a very large butternut squash on the counter and some tasty unfiltered apple cider so we revised a previous recipe and had a yummy dinner with crusty bread and slices of Dutch sheep's milk gouda
