My oh my how this week has flown. Before we know it Halloween will be here, followed by Thanksgiving…and Christmas…

I really do my best to think about every holiday at all times not to jump ahead to the next holiday season, so today I thought I’d share with you a recipe that is great for this season AND next!

Cinnamon Pumpkin Whoopie Pies – the perfect seasonal dessert to enjoy all Autumn long!

As much as I may attempt to not bombard you with holiday recipes ahead of their appropriate time, Thanksgiving is only five weeks away, which is pretty much, you know, tomorrow in “Food Blogger Time”.


  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup butter, room temperature
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp milk or heavy cream
