  • 12 ounces whole-wheat egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ small onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 8 ounces button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt, divided
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 ¼ cups hot low-fat milk
  • ¾ cup hot low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 ½ cups cooked, cubed chicken
  • 1 ½ cups bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
