Spiced Lamb Burgers

These spiced lamb burgers are topped with apricot goat cheese and lots of peppery arugula. These are the perfect change to your normal burger night.

Growing up we ate homemade burgers at least once a week. Usually they were the same each and every week – grilled ground beef topped with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, yellow mustard and ketchup. Totally delicious but nothing to really rave about.

As soon as I started experimenting in my own kitchen I knew the burger was where I was going to start. At first I started with different toppings and then I started experimenting with different types of ground meats. It took me a long time to finally try ground lamb because my dad was never a fan. He talks about the one time he tried lamb in Canada and how horribly awful it was. I still think he must have been given mutton instead of delicious spring lamb. I know this because my grilled lamb is not even close to horribly awful. {Trust me!}(...)
