So, a few days ago I went in for my annual physical exam. A lot has changed since the last time I was in that doctor’s office; it was actually quite entertaining. The assistant took my blood pressure and then my weight. I was trying to hold it together, but I couldn’t help but laugh when she looked at my previous records and said, “That’s… a. lot. of. weight. [I’m not gonna tell you the numbers; I’m still a woman…sheesh!] But not only was I proud of myself, and totally amused, but also a little confused. If she was stunned by a 30 pound weight-loss, then this country is in worse shape than I thought!
