Red Wine Burgers with Caramelized Onions and Goat Cheese #SundaySupper

It’s been one of those “everything falls apart” kind of weeks. It’s the busiest week of the year at my job, and of course, this is the week everything else in the world decides to go crazy. In the past 7 days, the Mr. has gotten stitches and a hacking cough, the back of our house has sprung a leak (and a disturbing patch of mold), I’ve locked my keys in my office, and the flowers have started audibly begging me to water them (at least, I think they have, but that could just be the lack of sleep talking).

Ingredients

  • 2 cups red wine
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large yellow onion, sliced
  • 1½ lb. ground beef
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Crumbled goat cheese, for serving
  • Hamburger Buns-- I recommend pretzel buns! I found mine at Kroger.
