If you are anything like me, you find something you love on pinterest, pin it, and then nothing else happens. I love finding a free printable on Pinterest for parenting/kids, and I’ve come up with a system to make sure they all get used. I made a “Mommy Book,” where I save all of the good ideas I find on pinterest. I have a document saved on my computer where I copy and paste all the fun activities, recipes and ideas. I then put them in my mommy book. For certain printables that I will use more than once (lunch box notes, charts, planning sheets), I file them away in my filing cabinet so that when I want to use one of them I can quickly make a copy of it and file the original back in its place. There are just too many free and fun things available on the internet these days not to save them! When I want to put a love note in my kid’s lunch, I don’t want to have to think about which Pinterest “board” I saved it to, and whether or not my printer has enough ink to print them. I just want to walk over to my filing cabinet, find the file labeled “Lunch notes,” and cut one out real quick. This has been one of the projects I get most excited about as a mom.
