Seattle’s overcast skies and cold weather don’t exactly put grilling foremost in my mind. Last night I thought I would pretend it was hot, sunny summer weather and grilled up a few turkey burgers just to make myself feel better. I think this lack of sun is giving me a vitamin D deficiency!

Ground turkey is a great choice to take advantage of the abundance of fresh herbs available this time of year. These burgers are seasoned with rosemary, chives, sage and parsley, then grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • ¼ cup chives, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup parsley, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sage, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary, minced
  • 1 large tomato , sliced
  • 2 cups leaf lettuce
  • 4 ea Orowheat Sandwich Thins
