Was this fun to make? You bet! When I saw this recipe on Roti n Rice, I just had to give it a try. The original recipe called for ground pork, but I didn’t have any, and wanted to save a few calories, so I made mine with shrimp and mushrooms.
I love food I can play with, so filling the won tons with shrimp and making little purses really made my day. Mine aren’t nearly as pretty as Ro-Ri’s, but you get the idea.
This wonton soup recipe was light and delicious. The shrimp and mushrooms were a good combination. Don’t omit the sesame oil, it really adds depth of flavor.
