These Sticky Root Beer BBQ Ribs are going to be the hit of your BBQ! Skip the napkins because this sauce is finger licking good!

Have you ever heard of someone that doesn’t eat “stuff off the bone”? Weird right? Like there’s a whole world of people out there that think eating a chicken leg or a rib is gross.

Yep that was me.

Until we started cooking things on the bone…then if it was for the site here I had to try it. I couldn’t make something for the blog and not actually eat it.


  • 5 lbs. bone in pork spareribs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic
  • ½ cup honey
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • 2 ounces root beer liquor
  • 12 ounces of root beer (1 can)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon dry mustard
