This time our Korean Food Fan is Lynne Viescas!
From her profile photo, I can tell she’s an adventurous person, not only in the food she cooks, but also the life she lives (hiking in Alaska!). She’s been making Korean food for years. Nice to meet you, Lynne!
What is your name and where do you live?
I’m Lynne and I live in the Hudson Valley, New York.
Tell me about the first time you ever tasted Korean food. Where were you, and what did you eat?
20 years ago, my friend Hae Yung took me to Ho Jung restaurant in Oceanside, California. Sadly, the restaurant is now out of business, but that one meal made me a fanatic for Korean food. She ordered for me, and I had chicken bulgogi. It was the banchan and kimchi that made me a believer. I have only vague memories of what was served, but it was incredible. It was bold and intense. Awesome!
