Easy Asian Style Turkey and Beef Lettuce Wraps – healthy and delicious and only 7 points for a huge serving.

I remember the first time I had lettuce wraps at a restaurant, I loved them. Such an interesting combination, the cool lettuce with the warm and spicy meat mixture, full of flavors. I loved it. I have since then started making them at home. This is an ideal dish for those on a low carb diet and it is such a quick meal, you can really make this any night of the week.

This version of lettuce wraps is very simple, not a whole lot of ingredients but still full of flavor. This is a healthier version and I have calculated the weight watchers points for it. I decided to mix two different types of ground meat, turkey because it’s really low in fat and some ground beef because it has a bit of fat and it will give it a bit more flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ lb ground beef
  • ½ lb ground turkey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp garlic chili sauce (optional, will add a bit of spice to the meat)
  • 4 cups bean sprouts
  • lettuce leaves
