Biscuits are one of my favorite things to bake often. This recipe for biscuits is super simple to make and with only a few ingredients you can have fresh buttermilk biscuits in only a few minutes. If you don’t have buttermilk, use a measuring cup and to it add 1/2 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar and to it add milk to make 1/2 a cup. Stir it then let it sit for 5 minutes.
This recipe will only make 7 biscuits but they have very little butter in them and so are only 3 weight watchers points per biscuit. Although, they have little butter they are still very flaky, I think the buttermilk make them so flaky.
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp table salt
- 2 tbsp butter, chilled and cut into pieces
- 4¼ oz buttermilk
