Gluten-Free Maryland Style Crab and Shrimp Gumbo Recipe

I added some snow crab legs (cracked with a mallet) to add more flavor to the broth. This gumbo is a bit liquidy. If you prefer a thicker consistency, use a cornstarch slurry to thicken.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup sweet rice flour
  • 1 small onion, roughly chopped (about ½ cup)
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 7½ cups water
  • 2 snow crab legs, cracked
  • 3 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 pound jumbo lump crabmeat
  • 12 ounces langoustine
  • ½ pound shrimp
  • ½ cup minced parsley
  • Steamed Brown Rice
