Gluten free Crispy Onions

If you want to eat gluten free you know that it can be hard to find gluten free crispy onions in stores. In Sweden it´s possible to find it but it´s far from every store that has them. That is why I decided that I´ll try to make my own gluten free crispy onions. They´re a little tricky to make, and takes a bit of time but tastes allot better than store bought in my opinion. Plus, making my own was a true food nerd accomplishment.

In this recipe and have made a mix between corn, rice and buckwheat flour. If you don´t want to eat gluten free you can just exchange the flours to regular flour and follow the same instructions.

I usually eat crispy onions on sausages but it goes with pretty much everything. They’re awesome on top of burgers, with grilled meat or even just to snack on. This weekend I´m going to flavor a whipped butter (recipe here) with my crispy onions and some lemon zest, served with seed crackers (recipe here). I´m so excited and can´t wait!
