What a healthy and most delicious way to enjoy a summertime slush, am I right?! I just can’t with these melon slushes! They’re absolutely heavenly, sweet like candy, and so fruity.
I had them in Iran, when I visited while in college. It was summer and hot as can be. We’d come in from the scorching outdoors and be so thirsty. While visiting family one day, my mom’s cousin’s wife (that part’s not important anyway) welcomed us in her home with an icy honeydew drink. It was gorgeous and I downed mine so fast. So naturally, I spent the rest of the time at their house not paying attention to conversation because I was too busy being mad at myself for drinking mine so fast that I had to be tortured watching everyone else drink theirs, with glasses still mostly full. Also, I was focusing on fighting myself to not ask for another melon slush because that’d be embarrassing and awkward. But staring at people’s drinks and as they picked them up and lowered them down while never speaking a word wasn’t. Don’t even wonder why. It’s not worth it, and I don’t even have a grasp on it myself.
