We show you how to make your own DIY Wood Photo Backdrop for blog projects and food photos in a few simple steps!
We’ve been meaning to make some wood backdrops for our blog photos but we weren’t exactly sure where to begin so we kept putting it off. Last week we finally decided to just do it, I wish we hadn’t waited so long! The wood backgrounds were so easy to make and we are loving the look of them in pictures!
To complete the project we bought 2 1 in. x 6in. x 8 ft. Tongue & Groove boards and 1 of these 1 in. x 6 in. x 8 ft. boards. The difference is that the first boards have a smaller bead board pattern on the back and aren’t really 6 in. wide they are 5.5 in. (don’t ask me!) so we needed more of them to make a large enough backdrop. We had all of the boards cut into 30 in. pieces. We chose tongue and groove boards because they are easy to snap together when we have them out for photos and then break them apart for easy storage. We also liked that the boards had one side that looked like bead board and one side that was plain. That way we got two different looks for the price of one!
