This past summer, my family and I have been making an attempt to get out there and camp more and actually like it. Wait... Strike that. My husband and my kiddos already love to go camping. It is me that hasn't quite got on board with the whole camping thing just yet. I love the idea of unplugging, getting back to nature, and the smell of a campfire burning, but the other less glorious aspects of camping are making me a tad hesitant. Like the lack of showering... And all the strange noises at night right outside our tent (I happen to be a very light sleeper)... And the food while camping isn't always all that impressive. Ramen noodles and canned cocktail sausages and packets of dried oatmeal just don't do much for me. So, yes- I am light sleeping foodie who likes to shower every day, and I am desperately trying to learn to embrace camping multiple nights in a row for the sake of my outdoors/camping loving family. ;)
