General Questions

What is FoodBlogs.com?
FoodBlogs.com is a “Blog Aggregator.” In a nutshell, we import blogs posts from thousands of Food Blogs from around the world and display them on FoodBlogs.com. We save you lots of time! Visit FoodBlogs.com to keep up with all of your favorite Food Blogs and to discover new ones.

How does FoodBlogs.com work?
When a Food Blogger signs up with FoodBlogs.com, their blog posts are automatically displayed on our website. Our system goes out to all of our blogs several times an hour and pulls in the latest blog posts, so FoodBlogs.com is always up-to-date with the latest blog posts from all of our Food Bloggers.

How much is does it cost?
FoodBlogs.com is completely free! It’s free to both food blog readers and food bloggers who want their blogs included.

Do I have to register to use FoodBlogs.com?
Nope. You can do pretty much everything on FoodBlogs.com without having to register. There are a few features that require you to register, which are a few listed below. Registration only takes a minute – we don’t ask you for much info. Registration is completely free.

If I register, how much information do I have to enter?
Very little. We only need three things: 1) your name, 2) your username, 2) your email address. That’s it!

Can other users see my personal profile information?
Nope. At a future point, we may add features where you can make comments, and your Username would be displayed with your comments. Everything else remains totally private.

What’s the difference between my Username and my Name?
Your Name is your real name (or it least it should be). It is for our internal use only. We never display it publicly. Your Username is your alias, which may eventually be publicly displayed in comments you make (only if you choose to participate). Your Username can be anything you want (so long as it is not inappropriate) and must be at least 4 characters long.

I tried to register, but it is saying my email address is already on file. What do I do?
This means we have your email address already on file and associated with a username. You can do a couple of things:

  • You may have already registered. Try to Sign-in with your username and password.
  • If you don’t remember your username or password, click “Forgot Username?” or “Forgot Password?” and we will email it to you.
  • If neither of the above works, click here to contact us, and we will help you out.

How do I change my username, email address or other personal profile information?
Click on ”My Account”. All of your profile information is here.

What features require registration?
You can do most things on FoodBlogs.com without having to register. However, there are a few cool features that do require registration:

  • Email a blog post to your friends.
  • Display only your favorite blogs, instead of displaying all of them.
  • Save certain posts in a special folder so that you can quickly come back them later.
  • Block (or hide) a blog that you don’t want to see anymore.
  • Include your Food Blog on FoodBlogs.com

Click on “Blogs”. They are all there, sorted alphabetically.

I’m looking for something specific. How can I find it?
You can search through our database of blog posts by a keyword (for example: gluten-free). Type in your keyword and click Search. Remember, we only import the headline and first few lines of a blog post. We do not import the entire blog post. We can only search for what we bring in.

FoodBlogs.com gives you the ability to receive emails from us containing the most popular blog posts of the day. If you want to receive (or discontinue receiving) these emails, click on “My Account” and then click on “Edit Profile”. To receive these emails, make sure the Notification button is checked. Select from the list on “Notify Hours” to let us know how often you want to receive an email (every hour, every 12 hours, once per day, etc.).

What is the difference between “Favorites” and “Saved”
