So, I have a little bit of a problem. You see, last week I made this big Thanksgiving feast for everyone and that feast included two pies— chocolate angel nut pie and buttermilk pie. Buttermilk pie is Adam’s favorite thing in the world and I had yet to ever make it so I figured why not? I had a great recipe that we used to make at the yacht club and it turned out great—a creamy vanilla custard with a touch of tang from buttermilk and lemon zest. And even though none of my California friends had ever seemed to hear about buttermilk pie before, everyone loved it.
